Brief Description:  LH Cowling installation

Marked and trimmed the bottom side. Did this in 2 increments to bring it in nice, since the RH side I went a little too far. Marked and trimmed the side against the windshield. Again did this in 2 increments - first to within about 1/8" of the line, then confirmed that the line was right, so went back and took off the remaining 1/8". For whatever reason, the LH side is wider than the RH side. It went right up to the centerline mark at the base of the windshield. Last thing I put the RH side on and taped the two together. This shows the RH side about 9/32" too narrow at the forward top, tapering to about 1/8" too narrow at the aft edge of the top. The bottom center seam is the opposite - I need to take a hair off the RH side close to the prop and about up to the oil sump, then at the air outlets aft, need to add about 3/16". So there will be some build-up and sand-down to get this right. Next up is to trim the prop opening wider (I had it so the cowl halves sit right on the prop hub exactly to get them centered) and possibly add the side hinges and upper firewall fasteners to stabilize it for the adjusting still to go on the other sides.
