Brief Description:  Trim swivel

Got the swivel needed for the trim cable. Started by cutting off the cable to just a little longer than required. The swivel is .240" diameter, so the hole in the trim handle needs to be 1/4". Removed the trim handle and drilled it from #11 to 1/4". Put the swivel in and the cable in the swivel per print (cable on the side away from the pilot's leg), but the screw in the swivel wasn't long enough to get a good grip on the wire. So it needs to be turned around so the swivel is on the outboard side, then the trim handle, then the cable, then the screw. Removed the trim handle again, bent it to allow the cable to be straight in this order of things, put it back together, tightened the screw. Now it grips the wire, but the swivel doesn't swivel. The screw just jammed the wire into the face of the handle. So the handle needs to be thinner. Took it all back apart. Sanded down the end of the handle to about .100 thick, then put it back together. The swivel really swivels, so the wire stays straight as the handle moves through its travel. Nice. One would think adding the swivel to the end of a wire would be a 5-minute job, right?
