Installed the control sticks. Found I really need 2 1/8" thick spacers, so the 3/16" one will be left out. Also ran out of 1/4" washers. Need to order another bag of those. Not sure where they all went, but it seems pretty consistent that I use an extra one or two just about everywhere. Started working on the elevators idler. I'm using sandpaper and emery cloth wrapped around a drill bit in the electric drill to very gradually ease out the hole in each end of the pushrod - again because the bushing gets pinched on the bolt, and the rotation is between the bushing and the pushrod. And again the bushings are too short. I'll just order a whole set of -4 length bushings. They sand down very quickly on the belt sander, so it's pretty easy to get the right length - given that they start out too long!
Sticks clear the panel by about an inch. People have cut these shorter for better clearance.
