Knowing there were several owners of this kit and thus several levels of craftmanship. The poor craftmanship has become evident as I have desconstructed the firewall. Some of the areas are deburred and others are just left with jagged edges. A multitude of rivets were over and under drilled. After removing (drilling out) all of the firewall stiffeners, many holes are egged out. Further, there several extra riveted hole in the pieces. The most shocking discover was finding that someone had countersunk some of the holes.
I will be replacing all four engine mount brackets. They are just too much like swiss cheese now. I believe most of the remaining stiffiners and stainless steel can be salvaged.
