Brief Description:  Rudder Skeleton Construction

Clecoed the R-606PP, R-607PP and R-608PP reinforcement plates to rudder spar R802PP. Fabricated the R-717 spacer and the two R-716 rudder bottom attachment strips.
Enlarged the flange hole of R-704 to accommodate lower attachment rod end.
Final drilled the counterbalance skin to the upper rudder rib.
Drilled all skeleton holes to final size.
Forrest came over and assisted in deburred all edges and holes of the rudder horn and rudder horn brace.
Attached the rudder skin to the skeleton and final drilled all holes of the skin.
Placed masking tape down both trailing edge sides of the rudder. Using a hand seamer and two paint stir sticks to protect the skin, GENTLY squeezed the trailing edge of the rudder enough for the rudder skin to lay flat against the rudder spar and ribs. It worked well.
Disassembled all parts for countersinking and priming.
