Brief Description: Riveting Ribs 404 and 405 to Front Spar
I riveted ribs HS-404 and HS-405 to front spar. I attempted to use a hand squeezer to do this but was unable to fit its jaws around the flanges of the ribs and reinforcement bars. I resorted to using a rivet gun and bar. It went better than I expected. I used a 3x gun with 30 psi shop air. At first I used only 20 psi but found that the gun lacked the power to stet the rivet completely. The rivet set retainer spring and bucking bar scuffed portions of the primer off the ribs. Therefore, I will be re-priming the center sections of the front spar. It would be nice to put primer on those bare rivet heads also.
