Today the replacement parts that I had ordered came in. I had removed the old parts and was able to refit the new front spar channel and reinforcement bar just as before. I will prime the replacement reinforcement bar prior to closing the stab for good. The replacement rib, HS-405, however, is causing some issue. After fitting the rib into place and ensuring that it’s forward and aft flanges are tight up against the front and aft spar, the predrilled holes on the skin will not line up on the front spar and provide adequate edge distance on the spar channel flange. At this point I’m not sure how I will solve this issue. Time to do some research.
