Brief Description: 2 - Completed Left Fuel Tank Assembly
I applied tank sealant on all of the mating surfaces after preparation and riveted the mounting brackets in place. I used 6 clecos on the back channel per the instructions and hung the tank by the skin with clecos and by the brackets with bolts.
I used this opportunity to match drill the tank skin, top skin and main spar. These are the ones that don't align correctly on my wings, or anybody else who has a Sling 2 at the moment. Some of the holes are very elongated so these will be upsized.
I then clecod and riveted the back channel to the tank skin, and wiped off the excess sealant with methylene chloride. Now it will hang for three days to cure while I work on the right tank.
