I attempted to install the 8 M3 rivnuts for the elevator inspection hatch. I managed to seat two of them but the tool I bought was made out of mystery metal. The aluminum nuts stripped the metal mandrel threads?!? I cleaned the threads with a die, and on the next try the mandrel snapped. This is going to set my back a day or so as I need a good rivnut tool to assemble the vertical stabilizer.
