Brief Description: Fabricated bracket and mounted magnetometer
I layed out a simple mounting bracket for my GMU-11 magnetometer, drilled the holes, made the bends in a vice and then installed 4 M3 aluminum rivnuts (no ferrous materials near unit.) I then positioned the bracket under the vertical stabilizer area with an offset to one side to allow for the connector and cable service loop. Once in place I matched drilled the four mounting holes, riveted the bracket in place and then installed the magnetometer with 18-8 SST M3 screws and blue loctite.
