Brief Description:  Starter and Battery solenoid mounting

The plans call for shock mounts for the Rotax supplied starter solenoid, but with only two mounting ears it seems it would vibrate at a lower frequency, but at a much higher displacement so I made a plate that would mount both the battery and starter solenoids with 4 shock mounts.

The battery solenoid is not supplied by TAF unless you buy there electrics kit, which I didn't. Also the one they use is an automobile relay, which I don't like either, so I bought a contnuous duty aircraft relay.

I sheared a 3/32" aluminum plate to size, drilled holles for the components and then used the plate to locate the holes in the firewall. I then installed 4, M6 rivnuts in the firewall for the plate and two more for ground lugs.

Test fitment of the assembly looks good and I happy with it.

I think that I have drilled and installed rivnuts everywhere required on the firewall, so next I can start installing the fireproofing foam.
