I bent up some elevator spars today and found the old tip ribs that I built years ago. I also bent up a couple of root ribs. The tip ribs have doublers, that's why there are a couple of partial tip ribs in the picture. In the picture there is a section of spar that was cut off. I'm not that accurate at getting the width of bends just right on the bending brake, but I can hold the taper very accurately. So I just build a spar with lots of excess on either end, then once it is bent, I measure where in the spar I achieved the proper width and trim off the excess. (so the extra c channel shown is typical scrap)
