Brief Description:  Roughing in the rudder counterbalance

Installed a spacer block at the tip and drilled in skin. The plans are not super clear about the lower counterbalance skin-to-skin attach holes. But I decided that It should have attachment there. Oh, you may note that I removed the tip rib. The plan is to rivet it on last with pop rivets (spar to rib point) That will allow me to get access for all the bucked rivets everywhere else. Another thing to note is that I installed the counterbalance skin on the outside of the rudder skin. It's kind of tough to tell what Dick intended for this skin since he sometimes does not use hiddel lines on the drawings. I think based on pictures that he tucked the counterbalance skin under the rudder skin. When you do that, it leaves a pretty big forward facing edge. Im sure you could bend it down and keep it looking good, but I thought it did not look that bad letting the counterbalance skin overlap (on the outside) the rudder skin.
