Brief Description: Rudder skin Stiffener Rivets and final bend
Riveted the stiffeners to the rudder skin and performed the final bend. Uh oh...found a problem..... When the skin was closed, it became apparent that the measurement of the spar location on the two skin halves was not the same. This means that the stiffeners are not in the right spot with respect to the spar. Another thing is that when I made the final bend, I first tried to use my bending brake and unfortunatly, I creased the skin in one spot....not bad, but just a touch...enough so that is all I will see whenever I look at the rudder.
SO
These two things together mean that I get to rebuild the rudder skin. So, throw out the last couple of days of work. Time to quit for the day and go have a glass of wine.................
Tomorrow's weather looks sort of crummy, so, since I flew today, maybe I will stay home tomorrow and build to try to catch up to where I was......
