Assembled rudder spar lower weldment to the upper spar. First drilled the rudder spar to accept the hiem joints so that they could be installed to temporarily fit with fin spar. After the holes were brought up to size, I was happy to see that the two hiem joints fit perfectly in the fin spar. With these in place, I could locate the vertical height of the weldment location. Of course, you still have to spend some time to get the horizontal location and angles right. Be careful here, the lower hinge is not a 3D joint and will be intolerant of misallignment.
