Drilled 1/2 inch hole in lower rudder hinge fitting. This hole will have a short steel tube welded in place to act as a bushing housing. Another 3/8 tube will then be fit inside of this to act as the pivot. The welded hinge tube wants to be square. To eliminate any angle generated by the cut, I chucked the tube up in the drill press and turned it against a file until perfectly flat and square.
