Work shifted to the LH stub skin over the last few days. Similar to the RH skin, the left stub skin was drilled in place as shown in image 1. Since the left skin will have wing walk provisions, an .040 back-up skin was created. Also, all of the stiffeners that will be used along the entire length of the wing walk were also fabricated, these stiffeners are simple triangular hat sections and are show in image 2. Finally, image 3 shows the rows of fasteners that were drilled in the wing walk area for installation of the stiffeners. Also, if you look really closely on image 1, you might be able to see a few more stiffeners at other locations on both left and right stub skins. I was having trouble getting the skins to look flat with no changes in smooth contour without the stiffeners. They are just simple .025 angles riveted with -3 rivets.
