Continued working on the battery mounting provisions today. I am going to go ahead with the idea of mounting an Oddessy battery on it's side. The current plan is to have the battery mounted so that the cables are on the forward side for easy access. The mounting provisions are pretty straight forward, I just bent up a couple of .063 angles with a 1/2 inch high lip for the bottom base (I also put a 45 degree bend on the angles to assist in guiding the battery into it's proper location) The bracket that goes on top of the battery is also .063. The plan is to install K-1000-08 nutplates on the bottom bracket, and install the battery using just 2 screws.
