Built a CAD model of the aft fuselage . On the first model, I used the tooling holes to line up the bulkheads. This does not result in the best fit of the bulkheads with respect to each other (just like the real parts in the fixture) I then adjusted the bulkheads to align on the top and bottom. Then I checked the fit of the skin. As it turns out, on my model I get a gap of .183 right where I am seeing a similar gap on the real parts. However, I also see some other gaps and or interferences elsewhere. But I must have been able to bend the flanges or shift the bulkheads to accomodate this. All in all I am satisfied with the agreement between the model and the real parts. This will give me more confidence to rebuild the bulkheads to accomodate the differences.
