Brief Description: Day 1 Right leading edge sealing
Started the sealing process for the right-wing leading edge. The instructions that Dick wrote for this phase were very complete. Day 1 involves painting sealant on the skin surface for the upper surface of the ribs only. Image 2 shows paining sealant on the rib upper surface. (Yes, this seems redundant and may result in some excess, but this is one of the rare cases when I would rather take the weight penalty and reduce the chance for a very difficult to correct leak) Image 3 shows the skin after rivets have been set in the spar and clecos are inserted in every rib hole. (Note: I also put quite a few clecos in the bottom surface as well just to make sure that the skin was pulled down around the leading edge properly)
