Radiator expansion tank installed to engine. Rubber between mounting ring & tank made mount gap (Image 2) larger. Supplied spacer is short. I made one at about ¾”. This also made great place for a hanger for spark plug wires. Spent time routing spark plug wire so they are not rubbing expansion tank and intake areas.
Used zip ties w/shrink tubing in two places on spark plug wires. Would have done this at all bundle points but got thinking about heat from engine and how it would affect the shrink tubing. Searched internet for the specs on the shrink tubing I am using. It is resistance to fire, chemical and temps up to 256 degree F. Will leave for now to see how it will hold up.
