Wow, now this thing is up in the clouds. I did consider assembling the rotor before the frame was put together. But everything worked out okay anyway. Spent very little time on the 8 foot ladder, I’m afraid of heights. He Hee
Torque all fasteners to spec on rotor head and safety wire in place for pre-rotator. Per-rotator gear lash set. Checked rotor head with shim stock under plastic washers. All in spec and moving smoothly.
Folding mast on first and then lowered rotor into place. Torque all fasteners and have been recording them on diagrams in manual. Maybe I’ll build a spread sheet for the construction log for that. A master sheet would be nice for reference.
Rotor brake cable and adjuster hooked up to head. Torque pivot point on brake so spring could move brake easily. Attached upper control rods but left side will need to be disassemble so bolts face the right direction. Note: Made sure 1" shorter upper control rod goes on left side too.
Unpacked engine for motor mount and pre-rotator assemble.
