John Spurling's electric clutch modification was chosen in order that the main blades can be started seperately from the engine. Began preparation of the components prior to the actual installation by drilling and tapping four holes in the weldment and nylon bushing. The interior of the weldment had to be ground due to the lateral arm weld preventing the bushing from sliding. This was followed by a brake hone resulting in a smooth interior surface.
