Brief Description: Tailboom Support for Trailering
I recently purchased a trailer from Stan Maige for transporting the ship and I am beginning the process of designing supports and tiedowns for the trailer.
Mark Wolf designed a support system for his tailboom consisting of two lengths of alumnum tubing attached to the aft end of the skids and coming together at a bracket attached to the third bulkhead of the tailboom. I liked the design and with slight modifications I began obtaining the materials needed.
I decided to use 1.5" o.d. tubing with tapped aluminum bushings for 5/16" rod ends to attach to the "T" bracket I will fabricate.
