Brief Description: Installed Alternator and Water Pump
The edge of the alternator had to be beveled to fit over the weldment and under the airframe tube. A spacer was then made on the lathe to raise the alternator to level the pulley with the secondary pulley. The installation of the pulley on the water pump was a problem. Several attempts of simultaneous heating and cooling of the components would not allow the pulley to slip over the shaft. In the end slight reaming of the interior of the pulley allowed a slip fit.
