Brief Description:  Still more smoothing and shaping

After Dad had finished smoothing the Center Ribs individually, I hit upon the idea of "gang sanding". Since all my pieces were made using router jigs and the router table, they are all indentical. So, clamp them all together using some fully threaded screws and some nuts and start sanding! This seems to accomplish about 90% of the required sanding and it also greatly decreases the amount of time handling each part. You still have to go back and do a touch of final smoothing and remove any burrs, but I cannot recommend this method enough!

So, gang sanded all remaining Flap and Aileron ribs using the drum sander and a blue scotch brite pad in my high speed. Also used my 1" belt sander and smoothed the flanges, minus relief hole radius', on the Flap Nose, Aileron Nose, and Aileron Pocket ribs!

Dan Melton (Bearhawk #869) pointed out to me that I failed to remove an extra 1/8" off of two of my Back Ribs to account for Spar Capstrips. So, after adjusting the jig to remove the 1/8", it was a quick trip to the router table to correct my mistake.
