Brief Description: Create new "pointy" jig out of maple
MDF for formblocks is working out great. But I hear other builders are having issues with the tip (trailing edge area) "blowing out" during forming. Not wanting to be caught like this, I decided to create a jig for my Back, Flap, and Aileron Ribs out of rock maple. Works great.
I did form my tip ribs using the full sized formblock with no problems. I then tried to do a back rib...apparently I didn't back it up as the 2nd picture shows.
