I can't believe I didn't take pictures of this process because this trim tab turned out great. Prepared all parts and dimpled and primed.
This time I was very careful, the ribs and tank sealant step went great. And after setting the trim tab aside to cure for a week today I finished riveting the tab.
I used AN rivets everywhere this time except for the trim tab ends. I remembered to get good dimples in the tab ends and the pop rivets set perfectly.
Riveted the piano hinge on the correct way this time and after mounting the tab on the elevator everything fit perfectly.
Done with the Empennage!!! I will be waiting for the longer piano hinge pin that I understand comes with the Fuselage kit.
Ordered the Wing Kit in May and It was supposed to be here by now but alas Van's says the construction of 9A spars is not ready yet.
