I made my first boo-boo on the rear spar for the VS. I machine CS the holes on the lower end instead of dimpling it like I should have. It did a beautiful job, just opened up the rivet hole too much. I looked all over for references on whether to dimple or CS them and chose wrong. Should have asked Van's or posted on VAF before doing it. Hmmm, where is Van's phone number.I prepped the ribs and spars as well as the skin for primer. I used the soldering iron trick to cut the rivet lines on the inside of the skin to use it as masking paper. Worked like a charm, just a little anal!
