Brief Description:  Catch up

Completed Phase 1 testing and flew this summer. Total hours about 75. Couple of medium cross countries.

Starting to prepare to paint. This is catchup. First photo is what it will look like when painted. The top color will be a white, bottom a red and the small trim stripes black (?) and gold or silver. All will be PPG Deltron matallics, basecoat/clearcoat. I painted a Reno air racer with base/clear and like the way it works.

Laid out all the curves with tape on the aircraft and then traced them onto drafting pape along with a bunch of indexing linesr. Put on floor and used lond straight grain wood strips to get the curves right and even. Then used a pounce wheel to perforate the paper. This then can be up on the aircraft and pounced with a chalk and then used to put the tape down.

Insulated the hanger door. The rest of the hanger was built to current house insulation standards but the door was just sheet metal. Now it is R13.2 and airtight. The hanger stays warm. Hours not charged to the RV-10.
Third photo is the start of the spray booth, floor and the tube in the back is the trial of the frame. Made of PVC pipe.
