No way to mount the ELT in the tail. Decided to make a mount that fits next to the battery attached to the two bottom stringers. Designed, laid out and went to the EAA hanger to shear and bend the two pieces. Drilled and riveted with LP rivets to the stringers. Included 4 nutplates to make the mount removeable.
Pulled the phone wire that goes to the instrument panel. Will tie down later. Pulled the antenna wire tat will go to the tail and made up the ELT end. Mounted everything, looks good.
