Brief Description: Sand and fill cabin top, sand overhead console
Sanded the complete interior of the the cabin top. There are several areas where the top has steps from starting/stopping the foam filler, like around the windows and at the edges. These would show up badly if painted with normal paint, but also would show with Zolatone. So I filled them with some filler. If you mix it with enough microballoons, it is very light, just hard to work with.
Removed the vents from the overhead console and sanded the joining surfaces and all the exterior that will get paint. Hopefully will glue it in tomorrow
Spent time studying VAF for how people deal with hiding the hinges. Looks like nutplates on the door hinges and a cover glassed into the door is the best answer. Need to understand where water from rain, etc. will go.
