Brief Description:  Heated Pitot

Best place for the Pitot tube heater control box was on a rib outboard of the aileron crank/pitot tube access port. Its bolt pattern just fit on the raised lip around the rib lightening hole. Installed 4 6/32 Rivenuts to anchor, temporary screws. Need to use lockwashers and medium Locktight on the screws, it would not be a good place for something like this to come loose!

Drilled and tapped the holes to mount the pitot tube to the support. Bent the pitot and AOA tubes to clear the pushrod, cut to length and put on connectors for the plastic tubes. A short section of tube is below the connectors to color code, not that it is easy to see.

Riveted the pitot mount after taking out the pushrod for access. Installed pitot tube and checked clearances, etc. Everything looks good.

New firewall stainless vents and control cable firewall penetrations showed up. Nice, and mostly air tight. Came with a tube of fireprood sealant for mounting.
