Went soaring yesterday. Day was sort of Ok, Van and another pilot were flying up and down the coast range at marginal heights. I got to the mouintains and decided to turn back and land after about 2 hours. Need more height to feel comfortable without prior experience in the area.
Put another support and clamp on the main run of wires behind the switches. Cut a 3' network cable into two shorter ones and made up the ends. Cut a 10" off another 3 footer and made up its end. Put the front panel back in place and decided to remove about 6" more off the long one. Too much slack and hung down below the main wire run. The cables have to be long enough to allow removal of the screens and then disconnect the cables but not so long that they dangle too much. All without any additional wire supports.
