Brief Description:  Complete tunnel, holes for TC wires and others, mi

Completed fuel pump connections and tying down all the wires in the tunnel. Now completed except for final cleanup of the loose ends of the wire tying and tie wraps used to hold bundles to the stick on attachments. Put covers and center console on with clecos to close it off from junk.

Temporarly put the motor mount on the front and marked the location of the top tube of the mount on the firewall. Removed the cowl top of my -6 to measure the size of the firewall shields (about 3" long). Used all that to locate two holes in the firewall, one for all the thermocouple wires and the other for the other wires that go to the motor. Still will have the Lightspeed wires holes.

Drilled one with a 7/8" hole saw, the other with a unibit for the grommets. Used Beolube and it made the drilling relatively painless. Some smoke but with a medium speed no big issues. Holes were almost clean, a round file took off the bur on the back without my leaving any blood. Not bad for a large hole in stainless.

Started building the 15 pin Dsub that will mount on the right side for the wing wires to plug in. This includes the aileron servo and tip led lights and led strobes. Hope there is no interference issues.
