Brief Description:  Wingtips

Mixed some flox to fill the nutplate holes drilled in the left wingtip. It did not go on right and I found the issue (a "J" stiffener that stuck out about 1/16") and made a notch in the tip to make it fit right. Used the flox to rejoin all the parts that I had to cut to get it to fit with the aileron. Used heavy tie wire to hold things in place. After it cured in the heat room (the hanger bathroom with its own electric heater turned up to 80), it appears it may be fixable. Put back in to cure completely.

Fitted and drilled right wingtip. It fit very well, just a little adjustment to get it dead on. Had to remove about 1/2" from the length to get it to match the aileron.

Fitted the aluminum rib in the rear, drilled, deburred, csk. and riveted it in place. Cut the lens in half and trimmed and fiddled until the lens fit in the tip. The thing is twice the size it need to be, perhaps Van's are thinking about a much bigger airplane?? Drilled it into place

Can't do much more with the tip. Used a bunch of the kit K1000-06's on my RV-6 and need to order more, plus a drill fixture. Have one for -08 nutplates, but not the -06. The -6 riveted the wingtips in place.
