Epic hike this weekend with my college room mate [thanks Lukey!] in preparation for our four-day, three hut Presidentials Traverse in early June. Did dawn patrol home from Boston to Jersey on Sunday, and actually got a few hours in the shop during the afternoon.
Completed final shrink on the Elevator, which looks pretty good. Nothing like the professionally executed sample that John sent pictures of from the factory, but I think close enough to be safely airworthy. I'm leaning toward a simple black/yellow color scheme, which should help to hide the covering imperfections.
Also did a rough fitting of the pre-cut Horizontal Stabilizer skin that came with the kit. Looks like a perfect fit. <<< Thanks, Kim. Hoping for an extended session in the shop next weekend, so perhaps I can carry the stab covering all the way from soup to nuts. We'll see...
