Brief Description:  Control Sticks and Pushrods

No Chinook work last weekend due to construction of a loft for my son's bedroom. That work pushed a bit into this weekend, as well, but the bones are basically complete at this point. He ain't a little boy anymore, that's for sure.

Did steal a few hourstoday to complete steps 28 through 30, consisting of installing the front and rear control sticks and the pushrods through which they actuate the flaperons. Pretty exciting stuff. Still haven't installed the interconnect between those sticks that keeps the fore and aft motions, for the elevator, in synch. Not sure if I missed that step somewhere along the way, or it just hasn't happened yet. I'll chill on that until I install the rest of the elevator control assembly, and shout for AM if I don't figure it out by then. They continue to be, as always, tremendously friendly and helpful.

Psyched for the next couple of steps, which will consist of building-up the front seat pod. Once that is in place the basic fuselage will be complete.

Must admit I missed my old '59 Skyhawk today, it was a gorgeous Fall afternoon with a bite in the air and the leaves just beginning to change in earnest. Would have been a beautiful day to hit my favorite fields up the Hudson to Kingston. Motivation to keep this Chinook project on the rails...
