Brief Description:  HS Finishing 1

Today was very productive. Started by rivetting the RH Rear Spar as shown in Pic 1. Rivet squeezer is superb on these, but you really need the longeron yoke to get over the flanges.

Quick flash with the AFS primer, about 15 minutes start to finish including cleaning the gun, and the rear spar is ready for fitting - pic 2 & 3. One benefit about being in saudi during the winter, you can still bake your primer in the sun!!

Note I haven't fitted the VA-146 centre bearing assembly. This is nicely powder coated and, as it is bolted to the structure, will be a service item at some time in the future no doubt. Therefore i've decided to leave it in its original state without covering it in primer etc to ease inspection/removal further down the line - probably after I'm long gone, especially with the amount of smoking i'm doing during this build!!!

You'll also note the VS skeleton lurkin in the box, i cheated a bit when i was waiting for my new HS skins and started the prep on that, I'll cover it in the VS section.
