Brief Description:  HS Rivetting 1.

I decided to keep things manageable by assembling the LH HS first before completing the HS Front Spar, this proved really wothwhile as you spend a lot of time turning the assmbled skeleton and skin over and moving it around to get access. All holes were de-burred and the HS skeleton dimpled where necessary - basically where it will be rivetted to the HS 601PP skin. The skins are quite thin, the best way to de-burr these it to just run over them with a Scotchbrite pad - gives a lovely finish to the holes without the risk of enlarging them.

I've been finishing the Rear spar concurrenly, will report on that seperately so apologies if this appears out of sequence.

First thing was to rivet HS 707 to the top skin. Easiest way is to rivet the first hole at the leading edge and then cleco, this way you can do it single-handed. Pic 1 shows the rivetting completed before brush-priming the rivets. Pic 2 shows the outer skin.

HS 708 is then clecoed in, to hold the skin, and the bottom of HS 707 rivetted.

Forward spar is then clecoed in and HS 708 is blind rivetted. Pic 3 shows the rivets before brush-priming.
