Following clecoing the Front spar, pic 1, HS 706 is rivetted. Took 2 attempts as i let the rivettting hammer jump and put a smiley in the rivet, this was drilled out and replaced.
The skin is then rivetted to HS 706, pretty straighforward and the result is shown at pic 3. I got carried away and rivetted the 5 holes that should be left open for the the later attachement of the empennage fairing!! Still, better to get some practice in removing rivets whilst there's still plenty of access!! The technique I use is to drill with a 40, after centre-popping, and then using a pin-punch to gently crack off the machined head and then punch out the shop head, very easy.
