Attempted to run the comm shielded wires through the connectors...not so much. I didn't get to even try with the headphone wires for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, the wire was not long enough, so I had to splice it. Splicing shielded three-conductor wire was an education in itself. Once that was done, I monkeyed with running the wire in various locations. I finally put it back to where it started and turned to ops checking the mic wires which are already in the AMP connector. It doesn't work. Moreover, the transmit PTT....
Disregard most of the above. Because the PTT and PTT return lines run through the connector that services the lower sub-panel, I haven't installed those pins yet beacause I'm not ready to tie the upper and lower panels permanently yet. I just went out to the hangar and temporarily connected those two lines and eureka! The whole system works. Man, what a great feeling and I can go to bed happy on that one instead of frsutrated with the whole deal. Good night, good night!
