Brief Description: Deburring/Dimpling left elevator
Completed deburring all parts for the left elevator. Dimpled all left elevator parts where appropriate. Dimpled screw holes for the E-714 in E-713. Countersunk forward side holes in E-714 counter weight to accept dimples in E-713. Machine countersunk top flange of E-606PP to accpet the dmpleds in the left elevator skin. Also machine countersunk holes in E-606PP aft face that attach to E-705 root rib. Machine countersunk attach holes in forward face of E-702 spar for E-705 root rib. Ensured flush rivets sit perfectly flat/flush in these holes to allow a tigher fit for WD-605-1-L left elevator control horn. Beveled inboard/aft edges of E-713 counterbalance skin to prevent vibration stress cracking in the outer skin. Cleaned and primed all skeletal parts of left elevator with Alumiprep-33 and Alodine 1201 immersion baths.
