Brief Description:  Drilling / Prepping the Elevator Control Horns

Received new drill bits from Aircraft Spruce and finished drilling the holes in both E-714 counterweights. Removed E-714 from assembly and reassembled E-713, E-703, E-704. Then cleco'd the assembly to the E-702 spar. Cleco'd the E-709 rib to the spar and final drilled the four E-709 to E-702 holes. Cleco'd the spar assembly to the E-701-R skin and attached the WD-605-1-R control horn to the assembly. Checked for alignment and fit. Once fit was confirmed, drilled to #30 the horn to E-702 spar and E-709 rib. Drilled #40 skin to skeleton. Dissassembled the right elevator. Dimpled the screw holes in both E-713 and machine countersunk both E-714s, for the screws. Repeated most of these steps for the left elevator. Discovered that the left control horn and left root rib (E-705) did not align. Called Vans and they shipped a replacement E-705.
