Brief Description: NACA Vent, RTV On Conduit, Aileron Hinge
Today I started off by applying blue RTV bto all conduit areas where it passed thru the wing ribs. This is just to hold it in place and perhaps help absorb some airframe vibrations.
I then started on the left bottom wing NACA vent. I brushed up on the NACA cutout that Andrew and I did a few weeks ago, traced the position of the vent on the wing skin with a Sharpie, cut reinforcement plates to help hold vent in place, match drilled the vent to the reinforcement plates and wing skin, deburred, and pop riveted the vent into place. Before the riveting....I added blue RTV to help seal the vent/skin seat. It came out well.
I then clecoed the aileron hinges in place in the wings and match drilled them. I also primed the angles.
Also primed the flap outer end ribs and outer part of the spar.
