Brief Description:  More L & R Aileron Work--Riveting

Today we started off by using the C-Frame dimple rod and hammer to dimple the 9 holes on the nose skins/counterbalance pipes of the ailerons. This worked well. Next was to rivet the nose ribs to the CB pipe. I used the close in rivet puller for this. We then clecoed the skin on the nose ribs and riveted the flanges to the spar and top holes of the ribs to the nose skin all using the handheld rivet squeezer. Basically, we followed the Van's instructions to the T. We bucked the top skin spar rivets using the air hammer and the bucking bar. Tight space inside the aileron but they came out good as well.

Next step will be to put RTV inside of the aileron rear skin all the way back by the stiffeners. We will then complete the rivets on the bottoms of the ailerons.
