Brief Description: Dimple Left Tank Skin & Stiffeners, Pro-Seal Stiff
Today Andrew and I dimpled all holes on the left tank skin and stiffeners. We then used scotchbrite pads to scuff up the rivet lines on the skin...also the bottom flanges of the stiffeners. I mixed a batch of Pro-seal by weight while Andrew cleaned the skin and stiffeners with naphtha. He also soaked the rivets in naphtha then dried them on a clean rag. We then dipped each rivet in the proseal and inserted them in the rivet holes of the skin (for stiffeners). I taped all rivets in place, then we back-riveted all stiffener rivets. I then coated the working end of the rivets with a dab of proseal. We then cleaned up all tools and excess proseal from the outside and inside of the tank skin.
