Brief Description:  More Left Tank Work

Today we started by cutting the hole in the left tank baffle where the fuel sender will be mounted. This is fuel bay number 2. We used a standard hole saw for this. After scotchbriting this hole, we moved on to the reinforcement plate for the left tank sender....adding nutplates, scotchbriting edges, deburring, etc. We than manufactered a coverplate for the left hand tank access panel, and the 2 aluminum pieces to be mounted on the access plate that will allow tha flop tube to move freely and not get hung up inside the tank. The last thing we did was alter a anti-rotation bracket to fit the flop tube. Tomorrow we will start working on the left tank skin fuel cap and tank sump drain.
