Brief Description:  Finished Wing Stand; Started On Left Wing Leading

Today I finished installing the support angle iron on the wing stand to keep the sag out of the wing skeletons/spars. I then started on the left wing leading edge structure. I started off by peeling the blue vinyl plastic from the inside of the W-701-L wing skin. I then started working on the stall warning kit access panel items. This included clecoing the VA-195-C access hatch doubler to the W-701 skin. I then match-drilled the respective holes per the plan with a # 40 drill bit. I then clecoed the VA-195-D access panel to the access doubler and match-drilled the nut plate holes to a # 40. I then disassymbled all parts, deburred all holes and scotchbrited the VA parts. I did not cut out the stall warning vane slot but will do that on next session. One thing to note....the seperate specialized plans/directions that came with the stall warning kit are not quite updated. Van's has completed some of the work on the aluminum parts. For example, the VA-195-D access plate is already cut out from the W-701 wing skin yet one of the steps on the directions says to cut access panel out. There are a couple other instances where this is the same. I only mention this as it took me about 45 minutes of studying the plans and directions to figure it all out.
