I layed up the first layer of strip on the jig. It was much more difficult than I thought. Pete and I had to work together to get the glue spread on and reposition the clamps all the way around the jig twice. I had to make two break repairs at one point as the grain in the strip must have twisted enought to make a week spot. I glued and clamped the breaks and we'll see how they come out. I may have to do this over. I need about twice as many clamps too.. so back to the store.
